About Zain Haider
Clinical Psychologist | Academician | Researcher
I am Zain Haider, a clinical psychologist, academician, and researcher based in Lahore, Pakistan. For more than nine years I have worked with people facing anxiety, relationship and marital difficulties, sexual health concerns, substance use, and everyday psychological stress, both online and in person.
Alongside clinical work, I teach. Since 2020 I have taught psychology at BS, MS, and M.Phil. levels. I headed the Department of Applied Psychology at the Afro-Asian Institute (GCUF affiliation) and served as a lecturer at the Lahore School of Behavioural Sciences, The University of Lahore, from 2022. I have supervised 27 theses and guided clinical trainees across six placement sites.
My research focuses on psychometrics and scale development and on the mental health of young adults. I am pursuing a Ph.D. in Applied Psychology at the University of the Punjab, and my work has been published in academic journals.
In everything I do, I try to combine clinical care with academic rigour: listening carefully, explaining clearly, and using approaches supported by evidence. Whether I am with a client, a student, or a team at a workshop, my goal is the same: to help people understand themselves and build skills that last.
